This Almost Heaven Cake is a poke cake! Who doesn't love a good poke cake?! I have to say this was scrumptious and moist and everything you want it to be! This was MY take on "better than sex cake," I did things a little different. I didn't want toffee bits on top so I cut up my MOST Favorite, FAVORITE candy on top. I cut up a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup. TALK ABOUT A PERFECT TOPPING! It was soft and chocolaty and peanut buttery! WAY better than toffee bits! It melted in your mouth even more! Man, I'm making my mouth water BAD! I need to make this again soon! Check it out! Almost Heaven Cake is HERE!
Almost Heaven Cake:
1 Devil's Food Cake Mix (made according to package directions)
1/2 c. Milk
1/2 c. Caramel Syrup Topping
2-3-4 Reeses Peanut Butter cups cut up into chunks (as many as you want!)
Make the Devil's food cake according to directions on the box. When done let cool in the pan for about 10-15 min. Poke the cake with the end of the handle on a wooden spoon. In a small bowl combine the caramel syrup and milk together. Pour into the holes previously poked in the cake. Let sit for another 10-15 min. Cut and serve with cool whip, Reeses chunks, chocolate syrup and caramel syrup on top! DELICIOUS!
*I found the caramel sauce and milk together is a GREAT substitute to sweetened condensed milk. Both work great though. I just love Caramel Syrup in ANYTHING! If you want it EXTRA EXTRA Rich, you can pour in chocolate syrup and caramel syrup into the holes too! OOoooooWWWEEE!
