Easy Egg Drop Soup

I don't know where you are in the world but right now, our weather fits the common phrase "April showers bring May flowers." It is cold and rainy! I need SOUP!

I love soup - it warms the body and soul. I've wanted to try to make Egg Drop Soup for some time but was nervous I would mess it up. I had no idea it is seriously one of the fastest easiest soups EVER! Only 4 ingredients makes it quick to whip up and simply delicious!

My family LOVED THIS! My kids had never tried it and loved something new.

Easy Egg Drop Soup

4 c. Chicken Broth (4 c. water 1 T. Better than Bouillon - thats my favorite soup base)
1 T. + 1 tsp. Corn Starch
3 T. Chopped Green Onion
2 Eggs - beaten

In a medium sized pot place chicken broth and corn starch. Mix until smooth with no lumps.

Bring to a BOIL.

Add the green onion.

Very slowly, pour the beaten egg into the boiling soup stirring occasionally.

Simmer for 3-5 minutes then serve!

*We love to add a little soy sauce to taste.

Nutella Smore's

Our kids have been begging us to use our new fire pit we recently made. We finally agreed and I started to grab the supplies for smore's while by husband started the fire. I grab the graham crackers, marshmallows, roasting forks, then...... I find we're out of chocolate bars.
"OH NO! WHAT WILL WE EVER DO?!"
(panic stricken face)

(*Lightbulb*) "Wait.... we have Nutella! (aka Chocolate Crack) Let's use the best chocolate EVER! It's already soft and melty and tastes better anyway!
 HALLELUJAH WE'VE CREATED SOMETHING IRRESISTIBLE!

And if you look at it, TONS cheaper! How many more smore's can you make with a swipe of chocolate from a Nutella jar than individual bars of chocolate?! A TON MORE!

WHOO HOO! This is definitely our new family favorite - I'm sure it will be yours too!
Why didn't I think of this sooner!?

Kind of funny, it started raining on us after our first smore's were finished. We were driven inside and used the stove! Hey, whatever works! Over a real flame, or over a stove, toasted marshmallows taste awesome ANYWHERE, and even better when you share it together!

Classic Blonde Brownies "Blondies"

These Classic Blondies just smell like LOVE to me. They are seriously one of my most favorite brownies - even though they're not really brownies.

I am CRAZY about chocolate chip cookies, no matter what form, thin and round, or thick and square! All are DELISH! I'm thankful I can raise my kids loving these as much as I did when I was their age!

And don't forget the nuts! We are a house divided when it comes to nutty desserts. I'm crazy about nuts in desserts and my husband is not. That's okay, but when I make something, it's going to be to MYYYY liking, everyone else can just deal with it! Ha ha!
I need to make these again ASAP - this picture makes me hungry....

One of my nieces recently turned 15. I don't know about you but it is SOO hard for me to come up with "teen gifts!" They are TRICKY! You want to get them something - but what?! You can always get them a shirt they'll never wear - shoes that don't fit - or something they hate etc. Sigh...

Well folks, I think I've found a solution to the problem! Purchase simple "teen" essentials every one can use more of! I tried to theme this one - PINK TEEN or FABULOUS FIFTEEN. Because, well, my niece is pretty fabulous and deserved a fantastic present from her crazy cool aunt!
