This is one of my all time favorite meals on Sundays. I grew up having pot roast, potatoes and carrots. And now I make it for my family. I love that I throw everything in the crock pot and I have a complete meal after church. It is WONDERFUL! This is very simple, and perfect for busy days. Throw it in, in the morning and its done for dinner. Easy and delicious, man I get hungry when I post things in the morning! I want this for dinner tonight! ha ha ha!
Crock Pot - Pot Roast
1 large Roast - we have tried all kinds of beef roasts and we love them all- so choose your favorite
4-6 large potatoes- peeled, washed and cubed
6-8 large carrots - peeled, washed and cut
1 Large onion cut into quarters and "layered out"
2 c. Beef Broth - water and beef bouillon works great
2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Pepper
1 T. "Grill Mates" Montreal Steak Seasoning
(This grill mates is our favorite for on top of the roast, it gives it a spicy flavor we love, it is optional.)
1 tsp. lawreys season all salt
Place roast in a greased crock pot. Sprinkle the season all salt and grill mates if desired on top. Add the cut potatoes, carrots and onion all around the roast. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over all. Pour the beef broth into the crock pot. Cook on Low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-6. The longer you cook the meat the more tender it will be. Eat with your favorite sauce! We love ketchup, heinz 57 sauce or A1. DELISH!
